The Bouncers have toured to Europe in 2002, and 6 tours to Japan from 2003 to 2007. Slack Taxi showcase their outrageous humour, acrobatic skill, and sheer energy. Amazed audiences love them! The Bouncers perform acrobatic stunts, with headstands, handstands, flips, bouncing off the ground and each other, tumbling, and crashing - indoors and out, in small and large spaces.

Origami CreaturesOrigamis at WOMAD Festival
Beautifully sculptured abstract creatures these characters take the imagination on a more gentle "Taxi" ride. 3 beautiful designs inspired by the art of Origami - two for stilts are a flamingo and a dinosaur - one for high unicycle is an amazing pterodactyl - the "Origamis"combine physical skill with artistic wonder. Also debuted at Australia's WOMADELAIDE and have toured to Europe, Singapore and Japan.

The Origamis rove for 2 x 25mins in a 1.5-2 hour call.

Fat Ballerinas
New Ballerinas! Comical colourful over-sized Ballerinas on stilts add fun with skillful characterisations and sensational costumes, to any function or event. On high stilts with large rounded tops, bottoms and legs going down to point shoes (perfectly sculptured for stilts), skilled actors/dancers bring these gorgeous roving characters to life.
A bold new look in 2008 makes these favourite characters even more spectacular and successful.

The ballerinas need a 1 hour setup and rove for 2 x 30minutes in a 1.5 hour call

Giant Roving PuppetsDog Boy meets a new friend
These hugely successful 4 metre high puppets are in frequent demand as they gently dominate any event they perform at.They interact with the crowd, chatting and bending down to meet their new friends.
Slack Taxi giant puppets make a huge impact with performers on stilts for 2 of the puppets, and on the ground for 2 larger puppets.
Slack Taxi puppets have toured twice to Europe, as well as Singapore, Japan and all over Australia.
Since 2003 the ground puppets have a great new look making them the most popular of the giant puppet designs

Funky Clowns

Stilt Walkers and UnicyclistsFunky fun in Japan
Extravagantly costumed and bizarre mod-clown stiltwalkers, (the Funky Clowns), and unicyclists, comically interact with the audience. Very energetic and dynamic performances, running, jumping, dancing on stilts. Themed costumes can add that special touch to your event.

There are 3 Funky Clowns available and they rove for 2 x 30 minutes in a 2 hour call.







Scoot Street Shows
International touring street performers bring comedy, acrobatics, tricks and amazing skill to any event. From soloists to trios, including the internationally renown Mr Spin, his trio Buzz, extraordinary South Australian newcomer Scoot, and more. Slack Taxi management can offer set shows, musicians, or create something specific for your event.

 

The Molly/The Eyecycle
At WOMADELAIDE 2001 the Taxi launched a new tandem bike creation - The Molly. A cartoon like novelty roving item, The Molly is inspired by a primal sea creature - complete with water sprays, horns and hooters.
In 2003 it was further developed into the Eyecycle and featured at the International cycle race : The TOUR DOWN UNDER
A giant cartoon "head on wheels" with nose, eyes, ears and brain, the Eyecycle, along with The Molly are examples of Slack Taxi's inventiveness.
