Acrobatic Bouncers Now with a new Bouncer base in Sydney Acrobatic stunt performers in crazy inflatable units - launched at WOMADELAIDE 2001 and a spotlight performance at the 2002 Australian Performing Arts Market. The Bouncers have toured to Europe in 2002, and 7 tours to Japan from 2003 to 2009. Slack Taxi showcase their outrageous humour, acrobatic skill, and sheer energy. Amazed audiences love them! The Bouncers do headstands, handstands, flips, bouncing off the ground and each other, tumbling, and crashing - indoors and out, in small and large spaces. The very energetic Bouncers can rove for 2 x 30minutes in a 2 hour call - more than 1 call per day is possible. Up to 4 Bouncers are available.

 

Funky Clown Stilt Walkers
A great addition alongside the acrobatic Bouncers are mod-clown stiltwalkers:the Funky Clowns. The Funkies comically interact with the audience; their very energetic and dynamic roving performances include, funky dance moves on stilts. Themed props can add that special touch to your event. The Funky Clowns have toured to Singapore, Europe and Japan, as well as regionally in Australia.

There are 3 Funky Clowns available and they rove for 2 x 30 minutes in a 2 hour call (flexible).

 

 

Fat Ballerinas Video 2009

Fat Ballerinas Comical and gorgeous are our over-sized Ballerinas on stilts. The Fat Ballerinas add fun to your function or event with over-the-top characterisations and sensational costumes. On high stilts with large rounded tops, bottoms and legs going down to point shoes (perfectly sculptured for stilts), skilled actors/dancers bring these roving characters to life. The ballerinas have been a hit at major international festivals and events in Europe, Singapore and Australia, including World Expo in Germany. The ballerinas need a 1 hour setup and rove for 2 x 30minutes in a 2 hour call (flexible). 2 available for indoor or outdoor events

 

Giant Roving Puppets These hugely successful 4-5 metre high puppets are in frequent demand as their sheer size and bright design is a great feature at any event. They interact with the crowd, chatting and bending down to meet new friends. . Slack Taxi puppets have toured twice to Europe, as well as Singapore, Japan and all over Australia. The Giant Puppets rove for 2 x 30 minutes in a 2 hour call.

Origami Creatures Beautifully sculptured abstract creatures these characters take the imagination on a more gentle "Taxi" ride. 3 beautiful designs inspired by the art of Origami - two for stilts are a flamingo and a dinosaur - one for high unicycle or lower stilts is an amazing pterodactyl with a 3 metre wing span!- the Origamis combine physical skill with artistic wonder. Also debuted at Australia's WOMADELAIDE and have toured to Europe, Singapore and Japan. The Origamis are 4-6metres in height and rove for 2 x 30mins in a 2 hour call.

Living Statues/Dancers Dancers in themed costumes to suit any event pose as living statues. Coming to life at 5-10minute intervals,interactive, and a great addition to corporate functions. As always, Slack Taxi performers are able to demonstrate their humour, poise, and ability with improvisation. Living statues can be painted all one colour or in any costume to suit a function. Examples of statues we have provided include dancers in 1960's fashion, a bell boy, dancers in 1940's fashion, chefs, shepherds, business people, sports look, historical figures, artistic replicas to name a few. Living statues can perform for 2 x 30 or 3 x 20 minutes in a 1.5 hour call. Any number available

Introducing TMT (Three Men in a Tub) Harking back to the "olde world" styles of absurd and commedia performances, TMT, or "Three Men in a Tub" has three hairy, dirty, buffoons, a Butcher, Baker and Candle-stick Maker in search of a place for their bathing rituals. With a fully operational mobile tub, shower, laundry and platform, complete with European influenced music, and even running water, TMT involve surprised audiences in their washing, bathing and general buffoonery. A ride into the ridiculous world of the absurd with timeless and chaotic rituals. Managed by Slack Taxi, TMT are available for roving performances. 2 x 30mins in a 2 hour call.
